The Division of Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at Montefiore Medical Center, the
University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, is seeking applicants for its
Advanced Endoscopy Training Program beginning July 1, 2011.
The Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship is a one-year training program for candidates who
have completed an accredited three-year fellowship program in Gastroenterology. The successful applicant will be provided specialized training in a variety of interventional endoscopic procedures, including ERCP, choledochoscopy, EUS-FNA, EUS biliary/pancreatic rendezvous procedures, celiac neurolysis, pseudocyst drainage, enteral
stent placement, EMR/ESD, radiofrequency ablation, cryotherapy and fiduciary marker placement. The advanced fellow will also participate in
endoscopic research protocols.

Position can accommodate subspecialty interests. Our section serves a 357-bed tertiary referral center possessing specialized foregut, colorectal and pancreaticobiliary surgery and a nationally recognized cancer center operating the region’s only Cyberknife. The facility features a recently built endoscopy unit and outpatient clinic as well as state-of-the-art endoscopy and GI lab equipment. A hospitalist service manages all GI admissions.
NP/PA support (four FTEs) outpatient management of IBS, IBD and liver disease and inpatient GI consultation service. Medical student and family practice resident teaching opportunities are encouraged. Duluth is a family-friendly university city of 85,000. It
